About the Maniacs
Originally formed in the Spring of 2003,
we are proud to call Portland, OR our home. Sister city to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, we are pleased that this cultural

Though we are just in our second year of paddling, we are
slowly but surely building on our "maniacs" team base.
Comprised originally of a small group of sports enthusiasts, you'll find that we "maniacs" are a diverse group of
paddlers from different cultural backgrounds and lifestyles. Whether we be young students with school and tests still
on our mind or young professionals looking to make our stamps on life...we all are brought together by our passion for
paddling.
The main objective of our team is to develop a competitive, team-embodying spirit and sportsmanship
while forming new friendships through the sport of dragon boat racing. If you're
