2007 Vancouver Lake Top Ten

10.  cheering for other teams. no one else does that. and who cares if it looks like we have an identity crisis.

9.5  carrying boats for other teams. no one else does that. ok, we do care about this one.

9.  everyone's focus at the start. it didn't matter what was going on, you guys were going to bury that first stroke. and we won the final start by a landslide.

8.  asians kicking whities butts. and then everyone getting all riles up about how many points to add. it's just catch phrase!

7.  calling the final race. yes, i love to paddle, but it was worth watching my maniacs never give up. not even boat lengths past the finish line (ahem, sorry).

6.  the harry potter book club. gosh, it sure was fun hanging out between races.

5.  for ben and me, we ended the season with a FIRST PLACE. thanks everyone.

4.  my screaming at "sell" to get it together with her calling. we direly needed amanda there.

3.  racing possibly the best race in maniac history. we didn't win it, but we came w/in reach of zambo and wasabi, and with 10 women. just imagine.

2.  for 6 years i've been waiting for this: the Guts and Glory. finally, we did it and omg i want every race to be like that (and that long).

1.  the last 500m of the guts and glory, which showed that the maniacs do have what it takes to stay side by side w/ kai (kaika) high alumni. they were screaming "don't give it to them" and well, we surprised them.
